The story
Young Changemaker of the Year
At just 16 years old, Sanyi was named Young Changemaker of the Year at the LinkedIn Changemaker Awards Ethiopia.
The award recognized Sanyi's passion for coding, technology, and creating meaningful change at a remarkably young age. His journey into coding was inspired by his brother, Amante Diriba, who introduced him to programming and became one of his biggest role models.
Being recognized for something he genuinely loves doing marked a significant milestone in Sanyi's journey. The award reflects not only his achievements, but also his curiosity, dedication, and commitment to building a future through technology.
The award was presented by Betelhem Dessie, another role model who has inspired Sanyi throughout his journey.
At 16, this recognition is only the beginning of what promises to be a much bigger journey.
"This is not the finish line. We're not even at the starting line yet."
The achievement stands as a testament to Sanyi's potential and to the growing impact of young Ethiopian innovators and changemakers.
